Director of Training and Coaching

Tanya is the Director of Training and Coaching at the Youth and Family Training Institute (YFTI).  Tanya is responsible for the oversight of the training and coaching team at YFTI.  The training and coaching team provides all of the training, coaching and credentialing activities for the High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) workforce as they become credentialed and begin implementing the HFW model in their counties.   The support that Tanya and the training and coaching team provide is ongoing and includes direct coaching and credentialing support as well as fidelity monitoring to HFW county/provider coaches and workforce    This support is offered via on-site, video, and phone throughout Pennsylvania, Utah and Virginia.  Tanya also supports additional training needs of the High Fidelity Wraparound workforce in coordination with the YFTI Training Coordinator as needed.

Tanya was the Statewide Credentialing Coach and a lead trainer at YFTI for seven years before becoming the Director of Training and Coaching.  She also worked as a High Fidelity Wraparound Facilitator for nearly four years prior to joining the coaching team at YFTI. Tanya’s experiences as a Facilitator created her strong commitment to the HFW Principals, phases and activities.  This strengthened her desire and dedication to coaching others to effectively implement the model not only with the families we serve but also in our own lives.  Tanya worked in the social service field many years prior to being a HFW facilitator working with both youth and adults.  Tanya’s work has always been driven by the value to promote self-efficacy in those she serves.  She modeled this in her experience working with children and youth in the residential setting, providing in-home therapy, and case management. Tanya also promoted self-efficacy while working with adults in the mental health system so they could learn the skills necessary to live independently.

Tanya is accustomed to, and happy with city living. She grew up in a rural part of Central PA, and is familiar and at ease navigating through both rural and urban cultures. This fluency has served her well in working with the varied counties in Pennsylvania as well as contracts with other states.

Tanya has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Geneva College, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
