
Shayonne Burrell
Training and Implementation Coordinator
Shayonne D. Burrell (Shay) is a Training and Implementation Coordinator at The Youth and Family Training Institute. She is a Master’s-level Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in providing clinical support and supervisory leadership for programs that empower families and youth. Shay earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Widener University.
Throughout her career, Shay has served in various impactful roles, including Community-Based Social Worker/Supervisor, Lead Multi-Systemic Clinician, Outpatient Clinician, and Credentialed Coach/Supervisor for the High-Fidelity Wraparound Program (HFW) in Delaware County, Pa. She has also contributed to the development of future social workers as a Practicum Instructor for Temple University’s School of Social Work. Driven by a deep commitment to growth and excellence, Shay has experience collaborating with community stakeholders to improve the quality of care and support available to families and youth.
Outside of work, Shay is devoted to her family, married to her husband, Darren, and is the proud mother of their daughter, Sydney. Shay is an active member of the William Penn School District’s Family Advisory Council, where she works alongside the Superintendent, district leaders, and fellow community members. She also volunteers at her church, serving in the Children’s Ministry as a teacher. In her free time, Shay enjoys reading psychological thrillers.
