Data Utilization Manager

Samantha is the Data Utilization Manager for the Youth and Family Training Institute (YFTI) which is a part of the University of Pittsburgh. She is responsible for working with incoming data from counties across Pennsylvania as well as numerous grants her team supports which are funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
 
Samantha executes data analysis and develops interactive dashboards using iDashboards, a TruOI Software. She works directly with YFTI partners to provide training and support, enabling them to utilize their data to make informed decisions and improvements. She has been able to grow and develop into this creative role, working to both streamline and revitalize YFTI’s processes. She has attended and presented at several national conferences and continues to innovate novel ways to share and utilize data.
 
Prior to her position at YFTI, Samantha held a variety of Information Technology roles. She has worked in security, infrastructure, business intelligence, and human resources and has experience in web management, development, and design. Samantha graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science with a concentration in User-Centered Design as well as minors in both Studio Arts & Dance. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, teaching at a local dance studio, and working on as many DIY projects as she has time for.
