Systems Analyst

Chad Owens is a Systems Analyst at the Youth and Family Training Institute (YFTI), bringing over a decade of experience in youth and family support services, complemented by experience in data analysis and systems management. In his role, Chad works to transform complex data into meaningful information that helps organizations, providers, and stakeholders make informed decisions and better understand the impact of their work.

Chad began his career as a Youth Support Partner (YSP) with Child and Family Focus in Bucks County in April 2010 and became a credentialed YSP in December 2011. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to supporting youth and families involved in multiple service systems and advocating for the value of peer support. His experience includes serving as a Statewide Youth Support Partner Specialist/Mentor, where he provided training, mentorship, and guidance to Youth Support Partners across Pennsylvania.

In addition to his extensive peer support experience, Chad has received training in Person-Centered Planning, Family Group Decision Making, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP). He has been a strong advocate for integrating Youth Support Partners as equal and valued members of High-Fidelity Wraparound teams and has presented at conferences, trainings, and community events on the importance of youth voice, peer support, and collaborative care.

Chad believes that every young person possesses unique strengths and potential. He is passionate about helping youth, especially those with system involvement, recognize their abilities and pursue opportunities that allow them to thrive. Through both his direct support work and his current role in data and systems analysis, Chad remains committed to improving outcomes for youth and families by ensuring their experiences, needs, and successes are reflected in the work of the organizations that serve them.
